External Doors

We manufacture the finest quality hardwood doors in our Cirencester workshop. Whether you're looking for a stunning one off entranceway, or you're looking to replace an existing timber door, we provide the full service from design, manufacturing, finishing and installation. Our highly skilled joiners only use the best quality timbers, and our doors and frames are traditionally mortice and tenoned.

For paint finishing, we have a purpose built spray booth, where we can colour match any RAL colour, providing a full factory spray finish in Teknos paint.

Door Leaf:

Seasoned hardwood, Accoya or softwood (specified by the client)- usually either a spray painted sapele, or an oiled oak. Door thickness is a minimum of 57mm, with options of a 60mm insulated door in some designs, or there's a 70mm option if you're looking for something really heavy and special. All our joinery is mortice and tenon construction, and we reinforce every joint with either wedges or draw bore tenon dowels.

Range:

We offer all designs of doors, both traditional and contemporary. We manufacture fully insulated external doors, traditional French Doors, replacement Regency doors, and curved/arched doors. We provide a variety of beads, chamfers or mouldings, and if required, we can have mouldings custom design/matched.

We are not limited to a set range whatsoever- we can completely customise any door design for you.

Frames:

For our door frames, we use seasoned hardwood or softwood (specified by the client)- standard section size of 57mm x 90mm, with a larger option of 70mm x 100mm if you're looking for a chunkier look. Our frames include a drip groove as standard, with a minimum of one Aquamac compression seal. If requested, we can double up on the seals, to ensure a completely weathertight door frame. We use compression weather bars on our sills to ensure a completely tight fit all around the door.

Glazing:

Where possible, we use A rated LOW-E double glazing units (usually 4-16-4), with warm edge spacer bars. If you're looking for a specific type of glazing and need to meet a U value- no problem, we have a close relationship with well established glazing companies, who offer invaluable advice and technical support.

Door Security:

We offer a wide range of locking systems, from 5/7 lever ERA/Union mortice locks, to multipoint locking systems. If you're looking for something that offers the ultimate security, we use Banham deadlocks and mortice locks. With most of our doors we add either flush or surface mounted shoot bolts.

Door Furniture (Optional):

We like to give our clients the opportunity to pick their own hardware, so they aren't limited to a specific range. Our doors are provided pre hung on quality ball bearing hinges, and all hardware is pre fitted for you.

Fanlight and Sidelights:

Please contact us to discuss any doors with fanlight or sidelight options. We are able to design and manufacture to suit you frame/aperture dimensions.

Finishing:

We have in-house spray facilities, with a 4m spray booth and a AAA Graco spray system. End grain is sealed with preservative in order to stop rot and swelling. Doors and frames are initially sprayed with 2 coats of microporous water based primer undercoat and left to dry naturally. We then provide a further 2 top coats of quality waterbased paint. We can colour match any RAL code.

Installation:

We can either offer a supply only service, or a full installation.
