We were commissioned to make these oak garage doors to fit into a newly built structure. We picked the finest grade of European oak, and went about designing something a bit different.
All joints were mortice and tenoned, and were then reinforced with wedges, to ensure they never come undone. The doors were rebated in the middle, and flush mounted bolts secure them, keeping all hardware hidden out of site. The garage doors were then hung in a substantial oak frame, which was weather sealed in order to keep the garage dry inside.
Finally, everything was finished with 3 coats of oil and fitted by 2 members of our team.
